If you are not in too much of a hurry to get the DVDs, they usually put them on sale toward the end of the year.

The DVDs are sold by season. I believe it's $24.95 per season and there's something like 13 episodes per season since they do 2 seasons per year.

I believe you are correct -- only specific shows are free. But once you buy a membership, you can watch all of the shows. It used to be that you still only had access to shows that came out while you were a member or that you bought, but now you have access to everything. At least, that's how I understand it. I don't watch old shows online. I buy all of the DVDs when they come out so I don't have to worry about slow internet or going over my internet download maximum.

When I signed up it says you get four free shows - is that only from the free show list? There were a couple specific shows I wanted to watch but it says I have to have full access for that. I kind of wanted to wait to ask for a subscription for a birthday gift...
