Ordered one too - thanks Norma. How in the world did you find out about it? I'm constantly amazed at all the gadgets and gizmos that make sewing/embroidery easier and have often wondered why I didn't think of it first!! You and Rita have sure shared some great information! I've learned so much from everyone on this TQS site.

I don't remember where I saw it, but I think it was in connection with some discussions on how to sew with the very difficult Glitter threads. It was short after I got my 830, and it would not handle those threads, so I tried and it worked. Good luck all of you with your new tool

So after a lot of searches with no results I finally  got the idea to look in my Evernote and there it was. It's called Wonder Thread Guide and a search on Google gives a lot of pics to see.

Here is the website: http://wonderthreadguide.com/

Phew! Mission completed.

Just a little report on my grandson: He is doing really well. He can walk again by himself and seems as happy as always. Thanks for all your good wishes. They sure helped a lot  .

I can't remember where I got it but I normally save my invoices so maybe I can find it there. I just hoped some of you recognized it and could provide the link. I'm on my way to my GS. He is doing fine but need a lot of help.
I'll do a search when I can.

Talking of thread socks, I got some second hand reels of rayon machine embroidery thread, and the previous owner had made herself thread socks out of small lengths of nylon stockings and they work brilliantly at stopping the threads from unwinding & tangleing up.

Norma, praying for your GS. Where did you order your gadget? It looks like it could be very useful.
I got my last thread sock from my DH's garlic--three in the pack which turned out to be a mesh that fit well over my thread. I like the idea of the finger gauze--I think I probably have some of that. Speaking of that; someone had mentioned about the clear adhesive tape before so I went hunting in the cabinets and found some that was so old it was yellowed but I love the results. The ruler doesn't budge unless you pick it up. I will have to see if a new roll of tape is more clear.

Wow ! This looks somewhat more sophisticated than my styrofoam packing peanut !!
You said you got it from the states...where would I look? I also reduce my tension....but when
I used alternate bobbin threading...there was more issues ! Hate that this machine tries my patience
so much ! :x

Wow, what a gadget!
Hope your GS keep progressing and can soon get rid of his corset. My dad had to wear one for almost a year after a big op. It was fine in winter but the summer was very hot and he felt very sorry for his mother and all her sisters for having worn corsets when he was a boy back in the twenties.
