I had decided not to renew my AQS membership for 2013. Some of my friends said "what do you get for your money?" I just watched it a 2nd time, and I'll tell you what I get for my money: I am part of an organization that is keeping the flame alive, while respecting what's come before. I love American Quilter magazine; there's always great articles, just like TQL.
Thanks again, ARJJ!!

MEREDITH SCHROEDER deserves every kudos you have given her. The choice for her to be the 2012 quilt legend honoree is way, way, way appropriate. Thank you for choosing her and for putting together such a wonderful tribute, not only to her, but to others in her life and family. I'll likely never meet her, but I feel as though I have because of the wonderful December 2012 Quilt Show. Ricky and Alex, there is no way to thank you enough for bringing Mrs. Schroeder's life story together for all of us to enjoy. I'm way without words to adequately express myself. Blessings on you both -- and all those on The Quilt Show team. You are truly the best!!!

I will never get to Paducah to see the museum or the shows so thank you TQSfor this show.

Anne, I'd never heard of her either! I don't read the masthead in the magazine, so her name didn't mean anything to me. As far as Paducah goes, you should never say never-you just might get here. :D

I too want to applaud this wonderful woman and her family (and TQS for bringing forth this wonderful woman for the 2012 legend). I was particularly touched to see her eyes dampen when she was talking about recognition for quilts and quilters as real art. Thank you all!

I just watched the show about Meredith Schroeder. I've been a member of AQS for several years, but never knew who was behind it all. What a gracious, elegant and smart lady! Thank you Alex and Ricky for introducing Meredith to us.
I've never been to Paducah; people always told me that if you didn't reserve a place a year in advance, to not even bother going to the show. Now I see there's so much more to the city than just that one week every year. I'm definitely going to get there somehow.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank the Schroders for their vision way back when they decided to bring quilting out of the gymnasium and into the museum.
