At the beginning of episode 602 Ricky demonstrates threadwork on a photo of a friends dog. Hope that helps.

I know there were 2 shows where Ricky talked about the thread work in his dog quilts. one was a quilt done of a friends dogs and he talked about the blue thread in the 'toenails'. The other quilt the dog had pink toenails. I am watching older shows to try and find these but I can use all the help I can get. It isn't for me, but for a friend that wants to do a dog quilt for her husband.
