Suggestion for future guest quilter on TQS 21 Sep 2011 19:26 #69537

I suggest Don Locke, retired dentist from waxahatchee TX as a future guest.
When don retired he decided to take up quilting.
His wife was a quilter, already.
The result? The supper quilt!
Quilted by Linda Taylor, his quilt has toured the world.
His technique was interesting, to create a Very large quilt using pixels.
(the quilt is 67" high by 183" wide, or over 5 feet by 15 feet)
Each pixel piece started as a 1" square, resulting in a finished 1/2"
The quilt is amazing, but Linda Taylor's quilting designs are not to be believed.
And what might be more amazing to quilters....the top was pieced on a singer 221 featherweight!
The supper quilt is unbelievable and don would be a good guest.
