I was unsure of this show but...... What a great one it was, with a fun guy! Rob's demo on machine quilting was very helpful. I am a visual learner and I had a *light bulb* moment watching this segment. I use a longarm but would love to do some small projects on the domestic machine. I have yet to manage that. Going to look for one of those mats for the machine bed.
I have a couple of those Sew Slip mats, they are so great! I got mine at my sewing machine dealer. The other brand is smaller and doesn't stick to the machine bed as well. This one is teflon on top and has some grippy quality to the plastic on the back. Great product!
When I was taking a machine quilting class at Empty Spools a few years back, they had open house on the last day where you went to all the classrooms. 3 Japanese ladies, one of whom spoke English, came into our classroom. They were fascinated by my Sew Slip mat. I had the package with it and they copied the info down! BTW, I just got a HQ sweet sixteen sit down and I use the mat on that too.
