TOPIC: Did I miss something?

TQS is the best deal around. Don't be disappointed, feel blessed & sign up for the year. Better yet buy the DVDs or past shows; you would be amazed how useful they prove to be.

It sounds to me like there was a glitch in their system, that allowed you to see all the past shows.

When you sign up, your membership starts with the current show and any new ones that are available during your membership period. If you only paid for 6 months, then you only get to see the shows that are released during that 6 month time frame. If you let your membership lapse, and wait 2 months to renew, then you will miss the shows during that 2 month time, and would have to purchase past shows. Your new membership would start with the then current show again.

If you want to watch any past shows, you do need to purchase them.

When this site first started, they only had the shows available for about a year, then they would no longer be available to view, other than purchasing the DVDs. Recently they have changed that, and now they have the ability to let people "purchase" past shows, and watch them any time they want to. So if you weren't a member during a Series, you can choose to purchase just a few or all of them. Those of us that have been members from the start have access to all the shows that have been released. Someone that recently has become a member, shouldn't have access to any of the past shows, unless they purchased the right to view them. I do know that they allow free access to some shows now and then.

Instead of being upset that you may need to spend more money to view the old shows, count yourself lucky that you were able to see them at all. And now, knowing what was in the show, decide if you really want to spend the money for some of the past shows, instead of purchasing past shows, only to find out you didn't like it. You can buy them as you can afford to, and they will always be available to you once you do purcahse them, so you don't have to try and watch them in a short amount of time.

I signed up for TQS about 2 months ago. To be honest, once I started viewing the episodes, I was so impressed. I really do love this site, However... Something happened today that really dissapointed me. When I signed up, I was watching shows like a mad woman, trying to watch as many episodes as often as I could to gain as much quilting knowledge as I could. I watched all of the first 4 seasons and a few in season 5. So today, I tried to catch up with the season 5 episodes I missed and I can not access them, where as I had no problems accessing them before. I was able to watch the episodes in season 6 that are available. Some message comes up about membership start times and what not but frankly the message is a bit confusing. Can someone explain what is going on and why all of a sudden I can't watch past shows. As I have said, I do love the site but am a bit dissapointed that I may have to spend more money just to see the few episodes I can not access in season 5 or the episodes I can no longer access in seasons 1-4. I am just confused. I guess I have to make another purchase but why in the world was I able to watch all the episodes before if I needed to purchase more to begin with? I guess I wouldn't be so upset if I hadn't been able to watch all the episodes in the first place.

You can just copy and past your note into the contact us section and also in the trouble shooting / technical problem link that come on every time you sign into the forum.

Sometimes the problems can be YOUR SERVER not being able to connect... sometime I have to wait and try again later... then the problem (what ever it was is gone)

The best thing to do is click on "Contact Us" under help in the tool bar across the top. They will be able to answer your question. They don't monitor the forum so when you have a question like this, it is best to go directly to the source. Welcome to the TQS family.
