I agree with all, this was a great show. I always admire people who are so organized, me, I am proficient at organized chaos. I tend to know where things are, not sure if labeling would help or hinder. Looking forward to next year's (now this year) line up, the shows just keep getting better and better. Thanks TQS!

I agree with you Libbi, the show was dynamite: Such positive vibes. I love to label things too but not to Libby's extent. It (the show) made me look at my sewing room once again to see how I could rearrange the space to make it more efficient.

The line up for next year looks great. :D

My DH got a chuckle out of the show. He said, "you Libbys must be all alike." I retorted that he was just like her Lester--bits of paper everywhere and a totally chaotic desk. Anyway I spell my name, Libbi, a nickname for Liberata. I used to spell it Libbie before we worked in Italy. Italian pronounces all the vowels and the Italian were having a difficult time with it. So I dropped the ending "e" 15 years ago. It became sort of "Leebee" while Jim was "Jeem." Now we are in French speaking Switzerland and French drops the pronunciation of lots of ending letters...I give up.

Back to the subject--Libby gave me even more ideas for organizing our shared work space. And I found my Bernina circle attachment that has never been used. Love these shows!

I loved this show! Libby's work areas are to die for, aren't they? I'd like some of that Fairy dust from Libby and Jinny and Miss Virginia Avery too.

One of my sons was here when I watched the show. He kept grinning, shaking his head and saying: 'That lady must be a daughter of Oma that we don't know about!' Oma is my German mother whose house and life was always organized with military precision and absolute perfection. I, her only child, constantly verging on the chaotic, was one of the biggest disappointment in her life, because I proved to be totally resistant to her training. :)

Libby, of you read this: I admire how you run your life. Please, come visit me and sort me out! :)

I think that was Lester (hubby) that was in the doorway.

They sell a P-Touch label maker at most office supply stores. I have two but am not nearly organized enough. Wish I was.
I have to ask Alex and LIbby if they rehearsed the thread thing?

I found it very interesting that all three of these quilt artists that we so admire did not plan to be doing what they are doing. "Life is what happens while you are making other plans!" They all let the flow of their lives take them to where they are. They are like all of us, they quilt because it feels so right and brings a joy and contentment to their lives. These three are humble and sharing and deserving of our honor. Betty Ann

I agree. I love the "Legend" shows. I was amazed at Libby's organizational talents. Organizing her STUFF was a means of organizing her TIME. I just wish I had her memory!

Happy Holidays, everyone.

I'd love to have one of those label makers she talks about. Then I can at least appear to be organized! :D

I don't think organised is a big enough word!

A great show. I too think the honour of being let into the real background of the lives of those who influence this hobby so much is fabulous.

First I want to tell on Alex! Libby, Alex pocketed one of your threads and never gave it back!!! :o

This was a great show. I think the last show of each year (Legend) is becoming my favorite. Being able to learn more able such wonderful artists such as Jinny Beyer and Libby Lehman is terrific. I loved listening to Libby's mom talk about quilting. Being invited in to their homes and working area is very special.

I will 'never' become as organized as Libby but it's great to get ideas of how to organize my stash.

Now if I can just sprinkle in a little of Jinny and a little of Libby into my creative spirit, think of the artist I would become! :P

TQS just gets better and better each year.
