When she said "far out" I laughed out loud!!! She's so coooool man (Showing my age here)
The road trip shows have been my favorite yet! Thanks guys![/quote]
I had the good fortune of taking a class from Mary Mashuta early in June, and I live in Cincinnati OH. She was here for our guild, and taught two machine quilting classes. If you ever have the opportunity to take a class from her, do! She is a fun teacher. She had great tips--I think her book is going to be a nice addition to my library of machine quilting books (if one improved simply by reading quilt books--I'd be exhibiting in Paducah!) I think the trick seems to be PRACTICE-PRACTICE-PRACTICE! There just aren't enough hours in the day....
I also loved this episode and thought it was such fun to see Mary and Roberta's home!
I am so excited about Mary's new book on machine quilting - I've already pre-ordered it! As someone who really only feels comfortable using my walking foot for machine quilting (versus free motion), I can't wait to read her book. It sounds like there will be loads of fantastic tips and ideas!
I really enjoyed Mary and Roberta, wish i lived near and could take a class! I am a current Home Economics teacher (new name- Family and Consumer Science-yuk) and can't wait to have more quilting time when I retire. I still love my students and job, it has been 40 years and counting! The ideas shared were great, definitely a show I would tell others to watch.
