Wow, Limbania! You've really been working! And producing such beautiful stuff! Your blocks are very complicated and look perfect. And the breast pockets are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them with us!

Limbania, Your blocks are wonderful. I am curious about "The Breast Pocket Project". I planned to listen to the podcast regarding it while I do some sewing today.

Great blocks LImbania. I really am intrigued with how this quilt will be when it is put together. And the breast pocket projects are lovely too. :D

Those are great blocks, Limbania and the breast pocket project ones are beautiful too. You have been pretty busy and prolific, eh? :D

Finally, here are the 6 "missing" blocks (I'm blaming my kindergarten teacher for only teaching me to count To 20)
Since it's a sampler quilt I decided to make 3 more different blocks. The Mexican Star (top) was rather challenging. It's got to be paper pieced but, I decided to make it using rotary cutting pieces and had to adjust the measurements but, I'm pleased how it turned out :) . The bottom blocks were made using two different appliqué methods, machine and hand, I like the look of the second one best :) .

The other thing I was working on this weekend are this little guys as a response to Melanie Testa's blog post, The Breast Pockets Project http://melanietesta.com/tag/breast-pockets/ she has extended the deadline. She will appreciate anything you can send to help her cause.

Love the quilt Wendy, and as you say an easy piecing pattern to stitch up.

There are muddy paw-prints on my first finished quilt, which happened almost as soon as it was finished and laid on the floor to view the whole thing  . And now I find that I don't want to wash it since the culprit is no longer around to do any repeat decoration, even though I was cross at the time. :(

Karen, I don't think you can offend anybody who has a pet by suggesting that that person has made a quilt for their pet!
I made a quilt for my dog which he shared nicely with me when we took an afternoon snooze. Now he is no more - 2 years now on 13th of this month when I had to do what was best for him. I still take an afternoon snooze under that quilt. It is a very comforting quilt for me. My dog was a lot more to me than an heirloom quilt could ever be.

Wendy, You are such a thoughtful Aunt. You must let us know what your niece thinks. I bet she'll think its wonderful.

Wendy - Wonderful dog quilt, whether for person or dog! (And I'm sure you have not offended anyone, Karen, because you didn't say anything that was offensive in any way!) I know your niece will be touched! At some point in my future, I have a dog quilt to make for my sister (which will be for her, but her dogs will share it) and a dog quilt for me (same story). My friend has made a quilt for one of her dogs and has one in the works for the other one. And her dogs are also happy to share with her!

Rita - I love your hexi quilt and look forward to seeing it finished some years from now! I have a hexi charm quilt in the works that I'm sure I'll finish by 2050 or so! (Might be a mistake putting a year on this....) And my hexis are a lot bigger than yours! Luckily, with a charm quilt there's no worries about putting a hexi in the wrong position. That's my kind of design!!

  not at all.
It was because I mentioned Welsh quilts which was just the design of the patchwork not the quilting. Now that is something I wouldn't let a dog sleep on.

Wendy, what a lovely quilt. I did make one of those for my step daughter when she got a new puppy a couple of years ago.

Limbania, that is an amazing piece of work. The mind boggles at how creative some people are.

Marilyn, I had seen Bonnie Hunter's hexie quilt some time back and it was that that inspired me to come up with my version. I know it's taken her a long time to make it. I reckon mine is going to take forever too. :D

Well actually it is for the dog. After all my chickens have their quilt! :D

I've already made her two quilts. She complains her dad has them on his bed. The live in Guernsey must be cold there

Love your nieces quilt, and I bet her dog will be sharing it ;)
Adore the butterfly fabric... So perfect, reminds me of my friends' old dog, Rex, who used to love chasing butterflies
Actually, one of my Christmas projects is a dog quilt... Can't just give my black and white swirl quilt to Veronica & Peter, their dog will have to have his own quilt tooooooooo! (Sewn 100% by machine)
