Hi Joyce, Yes, CS5 will work just fine. The menu locations are a little different, but the terminology is the same. I have CS5 as well, so just let me know if you run into any problems.

Great! Thanks for your speedy reply. :)

So glad for the upcoming classes! :D

My son has Photoshop CS5 I can use. Is that OK instead of the Elements program? I'm pretty computer & software savy but have never used either PS program. (I've used photoscape, a free download for photo editing.)

I love printing photos on fabric and love the wow! factor it adds to little gifts. And I put old family pix on a denim jacket ala The Vintage Workshop and love that! :)

Thanks, Jeanie. I'll let you know if I run into any problems. I just wanted to avoid the cost of new software at this point, especially if what I have will come "close enough."

Carole, Yes, you should be able to use Paint Shop Pro. Nothing I'm going to show is unique to Photoshop Elements, but the terminology may be different. If you run into problems trying to "convert" what I demonstrate to Paint Shop Pro let me know and I'll try to help. I have versions 8, 10 & 11 of Paint Shop Pro, but I haven't used it in a while so it may take me a little bit to find answers to your questions.

Very cool. You are the applique queen. I should really practice my curved piecing and piece the silly thing :) For now I'll go with the one I created about 3 years ago, it's weathered but familiar.

Mary Kay, I printed just my name on fabric then appliquéd the star for may name tag, and it worked great!

So, I just saw the image for the TQS Badge,

I bet I can use these lessons and then print that on fabric as well.

Jeanie, if we don't have Photoshop Elements but have Paint Shop Pro 7 and are pretty familiar with how to use it, do you think we can fake our way through the software part? I'm not new to printing on fabric or manipulating photos, but I'm looking forward to your hints.

Mary Kay - Yup, that's always the hardest part for me! :)

Margo - From the outset, I have tried my best to assume that my "audience" knows nothing and to give very basic, step-by-step instructions. Hopefully I succeeded, but if not please ask questions here in the forum and I'll make sure that everything is clear! I have to admit, when I started working on "how to print multiple photos on one sheet", there was one point when I said to myself, "This is ridiculous! No wonder no one can figure this out!" ;) It took me a few hours, but I think I succeeded in finding a way to make the whole process straight forward and easy to remember!

Jeanie, I hope you are going to be giving some very basic step-by-step instructions for PhotoShop. Some of us who are new to that software can be easily confused!
