It has also been suggested that the fabric and the freezer paper can be machine basted at the leading edge! (My apologies to the member who suggested that...please remind me who posted it!)

Somewhere I read that if the freezer paper/fabric is jamming, wrap the leading edge with masking tape. This works nicely for my Epson printer.

Additionally, if the label is composed in Corel Draw, the backgrounds can be used to make our own fabric.

Thank you, Margo, for a great tutorial!

Never agree to be anonymous. You can discreetly sign your work with pen (sakura and the like) and the year.

If I do it double sided; I just skip the label. Maybe you could add a little card with the gift.

Don't know if this is the right thread to ask this, but how do you label your table runners? I like to make them as gifts for friends and family and I usually try to make them reversible, seasonal (like Christmas) on one side and everyday on the other. But I usually don't put a label since it will be seen on one side or the other. How do the rest of you label those items? Or do you label them?

I think it's a good idea to try to put some washing instructions on too (google "care label symbols" to download the icons), and possibly even the fabric content, eg 100% cotton fabric, polyester batting.

Sally or Margo,

Where and how do I go to see the tuturial? Labels are not my favorite part of the process but would love to learn new tricks.

Thanks Helen

Wow Margo! I didn't know you have a book in print! Way to go!!! I shouldn't be surprised though -- you are sooooooo creative.

P.S. You can still get it on Amazon!

I agree, Pam! I'm still learning! And for what it's worth....this is not my first gig on labels!

This has been out of print for a long time, but there are some interesting options shown. Even so, using the printer is still my first choice!

Even though I have been printing my labels for years, it is always informative to see someone else's perspective.

You can teach an old dog new tricks!

Thanks Margo.
