You might want to review the method that I use for paper piecing using the add-a-quarter ruler. When I hold mine up to the light to line it up like Sue does so well, I often come up short! This method seems to work better for me.

My paper peicing is facing the right way but the peices are coming out short or backward. Meaning I don't have enough fabric to put the next peice on. I know I must be making this harder then it really is. When I did my practice paper peicing quilt it turned out great. but that was a big block with big peices. If you want a really good laugh I was really tired one night and sewed one of the blocks without ANY fabric at all  It was at that moment I decided not to sew after I had taken my night time meds especially after having my 3 neices all day (ages 2, 2, and 1).

 Ok I know it is September and I realize I am talking about the January block here. But I have ALL the peices cut out to do three of these quilts! My machine has been sick to say the least. Am I really stupid or is there something about this paper peicing thing that I am nissing I have watched the lesson thingy a LOT

Glad you're joining us. The piecing and more perfect points do get easier with time and practice. I'm enjoying this project and can't wait to get to the next month's patterns shortly after finishing each month's additions. Love the floater borders, but accuracy makes those even easier to handle, too.

Hi everyone: I just finished the January Block made with fabrice from the BOM Quilt Kit. It's posted in Show and Tell. I will cut out the blocks pieces for February today and try to catch up to everyone by the summer. It is still tedious matching all the tiny points, but I'm getting better. I quess practice makes almost perfect for me. LOL :) :) :)
