Thanks Margo,

I didn't think about that. It also didn't occur to me that the loose threads were from the fabric rather than from the sewing machine.

Nancy, I have been starching my fabrics before I cut them out, and have very few stray threads.

A want to give a shoutout to Cathy. It's good to hear that your surgery was successful. Get well soon!

I just finished February (not posted yet), but needed a short break before tackling the sawtooth stars. This project is fun because it is teaching me so much. It's also a lesson in patience and my need for perfection is now out of the window--I'm just enjoying the process. With so much bad news coming at us for all directions, this project is a great diversion and stress reliever.

Done! I enjoyed the Feb block... and am enjoying being able to keep up with the BOM squad!!! I really appreciate being able to learn new techniques - the floaters...... I have dealt with that problem many times in the past and now know one solution to the difficult dilemna!!!! Thanks, Sue and Margo, for taking my quilting capabilities to the next level!!!

Hi everybody - thanks so much for the prayers. Everything went very well and I'm home. All the bloodwork was good and the cyst had grown to orange size again and was just clear urine so that was good. Will be resting and healing now! Thanks again.

Great news. Get plenty of rest.

All of the blocks (including mine - hehe) are so striking! It's amazing the difference in 'feel' the different colors create!
Wow!

I just posted my February BOM, found it a bit more difficult, or I am just tired, I do not know which. It is done, but do not have the stars done yet, fabrics are cut, just waiting for me to get busy with them.

Got mine finished and posted this morning! I had a lot of unsewing to do on those stars because I kept putting the points the wrong way.
Everybody's is gorgeous and so unique. Do we know how many are participating this time - seems like a lot of pictures in there! Great job!
I'm having surgery on Wednesday so for those who would say a prayer, I'd appreciate them. The cyst that I had drained from my kidney in November refilled and so this time I'm having it removed. Will be in the hospital a couple of days.
Thanks so much!

I am praying that all went well today. Gods speed to your recovery.

Got my star blocks done using Sue's instructions. They came out okay but I'm not thrilled with my fabric choices. Two of the fabrics were really too light. Oh well...not gonna throw 'em out, but I'll remember to use more color in the remaining ones.

I spent a lovely weekend at home with my DH. He had a friend over on Sunday so I spent the day with them, they were at the computer, I was at the sewing table all day long. We all had fun. I manged to make a few more Sawtooth star blocks so I now have 46 blocks done.

DH made me a design wall on Saturday for my Valentine's present and they are up there with the center block. Yesterday we spent the day together and then enjoying dinner and drinks. I finished paper piecing the remaining blocks but now have the task of removing the paper and pressing the 1/2 square triangles. All in good time. I do have other projects to do but this one is fun.

I know I'm ahead of the game but you will all be ahead of me soon, when March comes out I'll be heading to FL so I'll be a week behind on that section.

Back to work today :(
