TOPIC: January 2009 BOM Done!

21 Jan 2009 07:46 #31215

The show and tell section has some great blocks! Ten days until February and the next set of instructions! This is like having Christmas every month!

I finished sewing mine yesterday and did the final pressing today. I posted a picture in Show and Tell. This quilt is beautiful and I'm looking forward to each month's instructions to make my own.

Well I finished my Jan 2009 BOM and posted it on time I'm proud to say! It looks a little weird like candles or something in the picture. I like it in person though so I'm anxious to see how the rest of the parts will look all together. Still haven't given up on the 2008 bom slowly but surely.

I just love checking Show and Tell. Every one of the blocks are beautiful and everyone's use of color is amazing. I am so glad to be a part of this process. Can't wait to see more :!:

2009 feathered star 19 Jan 2009 16:01 #31170

I finished my feathered star and posted it a couple days ago. It is posted in show and tell. It was not hard but took about 12 hours to make. I am thinking of making another one in a new colorway.

Yea - I can finally post that I'm done! Put it in show and tell. I actually finished last week, but had problems with my photo software. Up an running now.

Everyone's stars are so beautiful and so different. I love looking at them.

My 2nd feathered star has been posted to show and tell. It was a little easier than the 1st one, is also 23" finished and was assembled using partial seam piecing. I'm glad to have that behind me! I'm enjoying looking at all of the different color choices everyone has used for their beautiful blocks.

Your feathered star is very pretty. Everyone has done a great job,I like them all. It was alot of fun to make, paper piecing can be addicting.

I found a site that has alot of nice free patterns, and they have some paper piecing blocks also. They have alot of patterna and the directions to copy. I'm looking towards afew paper piecing projects in the future.

Woot woot!! I have completed and posted my first feathered star. I am so looking forward to this year and going through this process with all my fellow Bomettes. I have posted my block and fabrics on my profile. I am so tempted in making two of these quilts. If I find the perfect brown and pink focus fabric I just might make two again.
