TOPIC: I'm in

03 Jan 2009 07:48 #30485

I'm on the sidelines... I went ahead & downloaded the first segments but can't start until... um, gotta piece AND quilt 2 graduation quilts by June, another (top done) quilted by July. Gotta put 2008 together & finish, so maybe by fall I'll be able to begin catching up!! (but I'm a paper-piecing fan so hopefully whenever I do start I'll be able to ramp up to speed pretty quickly!)
In the meantime, I'm gonna follow along closely so I'll know where the pitfalls are, and maybe choose a color theme... So, I'm on the journey in spirit!

I'm gonna go for it! Got the intro and Jan stuff printed and used page protectors and put it in a binder. That makes it official! I'm also going to keep a journal of my progress. It looks challenging and do-able and fun! I've got some florals in my itty stash that are green and blue with yellow backgrounds. I think I'll build on that. I'm so looking forward to this!

I'm in for 2009! 02 Jan 2009 18:46 #30440

I'm going to give it a try this year as one of my New Year 09 goals! I also plan on posting more and taking a few workshops if I can! I downloaded the general instructions and the January BOM info. I didn't do 2008  but I saved the PDF's for 2008 just in case I have time later! Now to pick out fabric from my stash... Lesley :D

Sally, I have been plugging away at my borders for the 2008 BOM and feel like I will never get done and it is aggravating my because I realllllly want to start the 2009 BOM. But, I am not going to start it until I have the borders on the one quilt.

I'm out! This is a new tactic for the new year for me...knowing when to say no and being ok with it. I have miles yet to go with the 2008 BOM so I took the wiser choice for me and decided to keep plugging along on it instead of adding to my pressure (self-induced) and frustration factor. New Year...New Attitude! I will be keeping up with all the news on this new BOM through the forum and , I'm sure, drooling over everyone's pix. Keep a good thought for me that I get caught up with 2008 before 2010!!! Sally in windy again NE Ohio

Just downloaded the BOM instructions for January. Can't wait to get started. Am finishing a gift quilt, so as soon as it's completed...... But I can start auditioning fabrics - which I love to do. Jan
