TOPIC: October Block

Ritzy, WOW! WOW! WOW! Love those colors! And fussy cutting the flowers! Great!

Maggie in E. Central Illinois, who now has a refrigerator full of pierogies, as we ate a late lunch out with DH's daughter and grandkids. The Polish supper will have to wait until Wednesday, my next day off.

Ritzy, you have inspired me to finally start my BOM. I have chosen black and bold bright colors. I now am currently needle turning the stars. I am on the 3rd point but it will take me a long time. Did I say that I am working on the January BOM? Judy in AZ slow but steady

I will admit that I was tired of doing circles also. For the flower centers, I had a round satin stitch on my new Janome11000SE that I used that was perfect. I would think French Knots in the center rather than the circles would be a good choice, also.

Maggie in E. Central Illinois, who is going to spend today in my kitchen as I told my husband that I would make cheese blintzes for his birthday breakfast, and home made pierogies with fresh polish sausage (not handmade!) for supper!

Maggie, your block looks great, you really were fast. I have everything cut out, the berries ready to put on the block, still have to do the flower center, they are cut out but I got tired of making the circles. I have the star done, and working on the stems now I am doing needle turn applique.

Maggie, you were superfast on this block. You must be very pleased to have it out of the way already. I traced everything while listening to the debate the other night. I was able to get everything ironed on today and have 3/5 of the berries satin stitched. This block is going to take lots of thread and much more time satin stitching than the others did!
