TOPIC: September's Weeping Lilies

Leslie, great block! Can't wait to see your finished quilt! I enjoyed reading your blog, as I can say a big AMEN to everything you wrote. My Janome has the knee lift, and I can't imagine doing all this intricate work on the machine without it.

I hope you do come along with us on the next BOM. I think it is fascinating to learn new techniques and share the journey with all my cyber friends!

My September BOM is posted in my profile. If you read my blog, you'll know I'm stopping at nine. Now....on to planning the final block placement and actually making these lovely blocks into a quilt.

Don't worry you'll catch up, your blocks are gorgeous.

Camille and Virginia, your September blocks are beautiful.

Virginia, your block is beautiful, and I love the inset fabric on your vase! Before you re-do your January block, you might want to see how it does after it's been soaked in water. Sharon says she soaks hers at least 2 hours (sometimes overnight) in water with a little Synthrapol to remove the washable glue and soften the foundation fabric. You may find that it's not as stiff as you think it is now! Good luck, and please let us know how it turns out.

Hi Judy, I love the toile, but would never have thought to use, it's great all the wondeful ideas everyone has, and indeed Sue's blocks do allow the freedom to express ourselves. Heidi

Thank you everyone, I love toile and was happy to find a spot for it on this vase. Sue has done such a fabulous job in designing these blocks, they allow us so much freedom.
