Brenda, I'm still at the 'fabric fondling stage'.

At the moment I'm working on a table runner for our friend Della because she has moved into a new house, and I don't want to send her a little house warming gift when she has been there for years and ready to re-decorate. I'm determined to get that piece done before the end of the month.

Yes, bless you for working with those 'special' kids! They need lots of hugging, don't they? Course they all need lots of hugging even if everything is ok! ha Actually, so do I! ha ha ha

Well, I have cut the background fabric............... I guess my next momentous step will be to rummage through my stash and add some fabrics for the applique.

Just one little problem: School starts again next week and I know that my time will not be my own again. This years new 11-year old special needs kids look very challenging on paper. So if I 'disappear' for a while, I'll be busy with things where you don;t take a rotary cutter. :)

BLESS YOU, LORCHEN! Your priorities are squared away! Maybe you can fondle your fabric when you get home to soothe your frazzled days?

Beautifullly said Maggie. I am glad to see that I am not the only one who hasn't started sewing. So far I do have the lessons printed and the patterns drawn out in a large tablet of paper. My hang up is the coice of colors. I love all the options and simply can't decide. Cheryl

All journeys start with the first step! And not everyone is on the same page of life! I find that if I am inspired, I can do tremendous amounts of all sorts of things. So to all that have just been watching, or have just started with that first step, please, first be at peace with yourself, and you can accomplish your dreams.

Well, everybody, my progress is staggering! But don't hold your breath, because I know that work will interfere real soon. I have now not only the printed out instructions, but also the background fabric (not cut yet - but, hey, these ain't the Olympics!).

I have every intention of doing the quilt but bogged down on the needle turned applique. I need to practice on other things 1st. With every one talking about getting together, I'm seriously considering fusing a block and joining the group

I'm with you, Hannelore! I may not finish the BOM this year, but I totally plan to keep working on it. It is such a beautiful quilt!

That is a great idea for a future project. Who knows how long it will stay posted here. Good luck and I hope you can join in on all the fun.

I have finally found the time to night to print out the instructions up to May. So, when I have read the instruction I can seriously start thinking about starting. If all fails I can always finish this amazing project after I retire in 2017. :)

And if my friend Della reads this: Come on, join me!
