Thank you Margo!

Lynn, now how do we go about convincing them that we'd like to hook up with them once the quilts are finished, or at least pieced? Any ideas?

Well, I suspect ALL of our lives are that way to some degree. A friend was over yesterday sewing with me (while her carpet dried from cleaning) and she was oohhing and aahing about my BOMs. And my GS's transportation quilt. And about how much I have done, etc.

Well, I watch her making quilt after quilt of pieced blocks and it seems to me I'm in the slow lane in the slow race!

And then there's all the time you have to spend on the non-quilt things, like cooking, gardening, cleaning.................well, nuff said about that!

I doubt it, Lynn! You just see the FUN stuff I play with. The rest of the day isn't nearly as entertaining!!

According to my chart, there are 5 members in the Houston area. I have actually printed a (US) map and mark where members of the BOM SQUAD live! And we have 3 members outside of the US!

Well, it seems not many of us are in the general Houston area......or at least not admitting to it........... or better yet, have gone up north for the summer!

Didn't realize you were so close, Sue!

Well I'm definitely from the general Houston area! I spend half my time in Clear Lake (25 miles south of downtown) and half on Galveston Island (50 miles south of downtown). Lucky us - we are a short drive from the big Houston Quilt Show, come October!

Lynn, I'm in Shiner, about 2 hours from Houston. I'm about half way between San Antonio and Houston, 20 miles south of I-10. I'd love to have a meet and greet on a Saturday/Sunday. Unfortunately, I work Monday-Friday.

I was just thinking that we should have a BOM check in thread. We can state where were from in that thread.

I'm on the BOM Squad, from central coast California.

Heidi and I were visiting wondering how many of you doing the BOM are from the general Houston area?

How many of you would like to have a get-together sometime, say after all our blocks are finished? Or before? Or whatever?

Let's see how many there are?

Lynn
