Terri I'm facing a similar issue, I think some of my blocks (May included) are much softer than others, but I think that will all work out with the final placement, switching them up to balance the bolder with the lighter... I think yours are looking terrific!

Teri, your May block is very bright and cheery. I thought your soft colors worked well together. Remember, the only rule in quilting is there are no rules!

Thank you for your nice compliments, everyone. After watching the fabric detective episode... I wondered if the flowers/leaves in this block were too light. She mentioned that yellow is not a light value, but a medium. The light value in the leaves and berries with it seemed to make the whole block too soft compared with the other blocks. I am trying to learn how to balance the fabrics through this BOM. But next month, I will forget what worried me about May, haha and I will worry about June!

All of the blocks are just SO beautiful. It will be sew wonderful when we are able to see all the finished quilts. In the meantime I look forward to seeing each and every one of them as they are posted. This has been more fun then I could have ever believed.

Whew! I finished my block before the month ended!! I think I will print out June's pattern correctly and hope there isn't too much of a difference.

Terri, your block is really lovely. Those daffodils look like you could just pick them right out of the garden!

Lovely colors and color variety in all of your blocks! I can't wait to see all these quilts side by side and all the variety. And the different 'feelings' each will create in EACH of US! :D

Linda, I love your block. They are all so different. I wonder what Sue thinks of all the interpretations. She probably likes it. Almost everyone does something a bit different from Sue's block. Tonight I'm cutting out Stable Stuff templates for the October berries while I watch Dancing With the Stars. (Who will win??)

Thanks, Nancy. I love the variety in the blocks, too. And I am also working on the October berries, while watching Dancing With the Stars! (only I wonder if I'll be able to stay up long enough to see the results - we're on the west coast! - I think Christi has it made. She really outshines the competition, I think.
