OK girls........I finally started.I began with April and I'll work backwards untill I get caught up. Since Ricky had a fabric sale I went wild and bought up enough for this quilt. Hope I can keep up.

I just wasn't happy with the way my stars looked, so today I added some simple embroidery stitches, and l like it better now!
I think my fabric was just too solid, it needed a little something!

I'm just chomping at the bit to get started on this block it's just beautiful! Judy and Margo and all... I'm so inspired! I've got a quilt on the longarm to finish for a dear friend(DH passed away) and then I can get to our April block. Keep up the good work everyone...can you believe that we are a third of the way done??
Blessings,

It isn't easy having a sick hubby. I can imagine that hand sewing would come easier with him in recovery.

Margo I love your April block. The circles really pop. I don't know how you can do needle turn so quickly.

Alvin on the feeding tube for over 8 weeks helped!! I haven't had to cook much!! :?

Retired, and empty nest helps, too.....

It's such fun that we are all doing this together!

Florence and Lynn, don't worry about being the first 12!!! THIS NOT A CONTEST! And now that I've get my web site set up, I am posting ALL of the blocks that I'm aware of. The first 12 will still go on a Member Blogs page, but everyone's blocks will be on the web site! And who said they had to be done in order???
No quilt police here!

Well, Florence, I'm cheating this month. I've finished Jan, Feb. March is partly cut out.

When April appeared, I just decided "I'm making it now!" No, I'll not make the first 12 because I'm working a bit this weak to support my 'habit' but I'll be current! That felt better than ALWAYS being behind.

Logic, ???? Who know, but it works for me! ha

Yes Margo I definitely am considering your template method. I'm sure I've got something still and non-melting that will work. I'm actually TRYING to NOT spend too much time on this block this week, as I've got a convention to attend next weekend for 5 days, so I'll likely need my handwork! The machine-project I'm currently on is WAY too big, I'm at the machine-quilting stage so it has to stay home. I've been known to take my featherweight w/ me to piece in a hotel, but that would require planning since I have nothing like that as a current WIP. So this BOM will probably not make your first 12 either, but I don't doubt I can get it done by May. This could be some kind of a record that I haven't missed a "deadline" yet!

Yes, Florence, the leaves can all be made from the same template. And you can make your own templates from heat resistant mylar if you have some, or from (old?) manila file folders if you have some! Check out my tutorial if you want to see if those are techniques you want to try!
