Great block, Sandy. Are you making 2 quilts? It looks like you have 2 different colors of backgrounds?

Beautiful, Sandy! I really like the way the lighter value pink in the roses brightens the flowers!

I finished my April BOM last night. I used Sharon Schambers foundation / glue method for the applique and by the time the block was finished it was very stiff. I even used the foundation paper for the berries. I kept telling myself that it would soften after being washed but I admit I had my doubts. I filled the sink with soap and warm water and left the block soaking while I caught up on some chores I had neglected all day. Like magic it softened. I checked again this morning and it is still soft after completely drying. I really like the foundation paper / glue method for needle turn applique. Will post a picture when I get home from work this afternoon. Sandy TN

The April blocks are beautiful. I have made 22 of the circles and will get the rest done tomorrow. I have picked out the fabrics for the rest of the block. I am dying to get to it, but have to finish a Quilt of Valor so I can get it and 3 others sent off. Too many projects.

Oooo and ahhhh... what more can I say? Your block is gorgeous! You certainly are talented; I can see your art "background" in your color choices! Nice work.

My block for April is posted. I used Suzanne Marshall's method for the bias strips and will never go back to the old method. My bias bars are retired!
It's amazing the depth Sue Garman achieves in these designs with the layered stems and leaves.

Beautiful, Marge! :D I think the circles you added to the stars really made a big difference! And I, too, like Suzanne's method for bias stems!
