Ritzy, just do your blocks the way that's the most fun for YOU. I just happen to love needleturn applique and it relaxes me. Peter, if I tried to do these blocks on the machine, my husband might have to have me committed!

Chris, at least your block is finished...mine is not  Keep up the good work...I'm told it gets better and easier!

I don't know--I am not finding it getting easier. I keep try and I will be victorious, but I do not find the needle turn getting any easier. I am loving the machine applique!

I am just the opposite, Ritzy, I just can't seem to get this machine applique. And when I see how my housemate is coming on her needleturn I am thinking about starting over (again LOL) and doing the BOM by hand.

I know what you mean about coming home to a clean house. Men just don't get it. When you have small children, too, things have to be kept together or everything gets out of whack. All my kids are grown and married, but I still remember!!!

My time... whats that... do I have time for me??? LOL the life of having three kids. I know when we are on "vacation" I never have more than a moment here and there - its always "Mom, could you/can we/I want XYZ..." My dh picks on me because I go on a whirlwind cleaning of thehouse before any trip. "Why bother," he askes, "the mess will still be there when we get back." The reason I do it is so when I get back from "vacation" I can take a day just for me knowing the house is already clean and I don't have to do anything 8)

Hang in there, everyone!!! All it takes is practice, practice, practice!!! It WILL get easier the more you do it. I had hoped to get the March block finished before April, but I'm on vacation and my time isn't always mine, if you know what I mean.....

Nice job, and don't worry about that vase, mine is the same way, lol. It gives the quilt charactor 8)

Block One 24 Mar 2008 03:37 #16046

I finally got around to posting my first block. I'm working on block 3 and haven't taken the picture for #2 yet.

The vase in my Block 1 looks as if it has fallen off the table and broken. As if I superglued it back together and it's about to topple off the table again. I need to fix that. lol
