Breathing will be the tricky part! I know I'm going to have to make myself quilt a little, then stop for a little bit. I'm almost finished with the applique, then have to bury the threads and cut out the extra water soluble paper. Then onward!! Thank you for your encouragement. It may be a month from now, but I will post it!

No I didn't use that thread. I really use what matches the fabric. But I do use SoFine thread a lot. The grids can be achieved with a 24" ruler also. Just take your time and don't forget to breathe, hehe.

Thanks for your reply, sewangel. Did you use Superior's Masterpiece? I remember the picture of yours that you posted and how perfect the grids were. AND that you had a gigantic ruler you used to mark those grids.

I used the same color thread for the top and bottom. Yes the quilting shows on the back. Post pics when you finishe it.

At long last, I am finishing the applique on the borders of the A - Z for Ewe and Me 2014 BOM. Now my thoughts are moving on to the actual quilting. I bought the kit and the backing (black with dots like the border). For those of you that quilted this, what color bobbin thread did you use? The obvious color would be black, I guess, but considering that most of the top is cream, I would not want black bobbin thread to dot the top. Did you just adjust your bobbin thread and use black anyway, or a black/clear thread? I love this quilt and want to do as perfect job that I can. Thanks for any comments!
