As soon as you have trimmed the blocks to the correct size, remove the paper before you assemble the blocks into units of four:

These are my assembled units. Notice that I have twirled the intersections for a flat seam. There are more directions explaining how I do that in my additional tutorial that can be found right under Sue's instructions.

Can you tell me when you remove the paper from block #2 paper pieced blocks? I can't find that info in the instructions.
