Good morning, everyone. And Happy Mother's Day! Whether you are a mother biologically or not, if you love and care for someone or something, here's my salute to your "mothering" instinct!
I went to see my Mom yesterday because she will be gone today. My MIL was aat a wedding but DD#3 and I left flowers and a card at her house for her. I went to church yesterday so today is ALL MINE! I am sewing together the rows for DD's graduation quilt - the bargello one. I have found it's easier to just take to the time to pin each and every seam intersection - it saves trouble while sewing. There are 33 intersecting seams!
I also used the excuse last evening that since I ran out of bobbin while sewing hers, it was okay to switch thread colors and sew the quilt I have cut for a summer themed quilt for my bed.
Good thinking, huh?
Today I want to plant a few perrenials (sp?) I bought to replace some that didn't make it over the winter, do lots of sewing and maybe a little golfing. Will have to throw some laundry in, too, since I bummed around yesterday and didn't get it all done. I have wet jeans hanging outside already. DD #2 is on her way home from college for the summer but leaves on Tuesday for three weeks of study abroad in Austria. Will have to do her necessary laundry today and tomorrow. The rest can wait.
Have a great day everyone! (If anyone even has a chance to check in and read this today!)
