Good. morning - back to work for me and I have so much to do there - not sure how stuff got backed up, but it did - job security right?

I got all the blocks sewn into rows and a few of the rows sewn together. Those long seams are not my favorite to sew, but it sure feels like I'm making progress. Because I sewed all those trapezoids together backwards, I thought I was going to get friendship starts that swirled the opposite direction than the pattern, but instead it's more of a pinwheel effect. I like it tho and since the quilt I want to make just for my ddil2b has friendship stars in it, it doesn't feel like they'll be getting 2 quilts that are too much alike.

I did pretty well on my "to do" list on Sat, but not so much yesterday. That's ok, I got enough crossed off to feel good about it.

Stacey sounds like you were on the go, go, go!

Margaret, enjoy your sewing group this afternoon - I always regret it the next morning when I've stayed up late to read too, but it seems like such a good idea at the time!!

Hugs,
Darce

Good monday Morning 11 Apr 2011 06:48 #62047

Morning everyone,

Hopefully everyone had a good weekend. My butt is dragging this morning... big time  guess that'll teach me to stay up reading until 12:30am. I had a good time at the bridal shower yesterday and like I predicted no sewing. But I have my Monday afternoon quilt group today. I want to start working on a new baby quilt that needs to get done ASAP. Well lots of other things to get to as well.

Stac, glad you all had a good time this weekend. Sounds like the kids got wore out with all that outside time. Good luck eating better and working out - today's the start of a new week!

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Stitching,

Margaret
