Thanks Peggy, I think she is pretty cute. (If we could have just by-passed having the mother in our lives, LOL) Well they went out on the bike about 5 times yesterday and Cliff said his chest was bruised from Shyann throwing her head back every time she wanted to go faster. I guess she pitched her first fit for him when he took her off the bike the first time. She did better the next time because she realized she could get back on. So yesterday she had lots of firsts. The first time she left her shoes on (we got her a new pair of sneakers) because she didn't like shoes and the first time she has ever left anything on her head, she usually pulls it off or cries. I will say that daddy was pretty well worn out from all the rides but that will be good exercise for him too. It is great seeing them having so much fun together and she just looks at him with those adorable eyes like he was the only person in the world. She definitely is daddy's little girl. I hope that continues and the mom doesn't ruin their relationship when Shyann gets older.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Judy

I had my quilt guild yesterday -- a very interesting speakerwho's also a machine quilter, Pat Ferguson. She gave an excellent lecture on machine quilting and showed her quilts which were so beautiful!! Lots of tips on layering and basting and how she goes about planning her quilting designs. She also recommended something called Heat Press BAtting Together which she uses to fuse pieces of batting together and she says it does an excellent job. As someone who has lots of extra batting pieces I think that's a good tip and I found it on the internet for $7.00 at fabric.com
Today laundry and finishing my comfort quilt -- I've got the binding on, just have to finish it -- then I'll take a pic and add it to March finishes --hooray!!
Judy E., that picture of you granddaughter with her bike helmet was adorable!!
Hope you all have a great day!!

Happy Tuesday All... 15 Mar 2011 07:09 #60207

Good Morning!

Hope everyone's morning is starting out well. I got quite a bit done yesterday but the best thing was at the Monday afternoon quilt group one of the girls taught how to make a potato microwave bag. It was only $3 for the kit, pattern and class... how can I say no??? I didn't and it was really fun to make. Plus by the end of the "class" I had one already completed and I got my bom done too! I'm ahead of the game on that finally! Woooo Hooooo I even got my sewing room put back together again from traveling this past weekend. I don't think I'm gonna have any time to do sewing for the next two days. I gotta bite the bullet and get my mom's tax stuff put together and that will probably take me most of today since I need to hunt stuff down. Then tonight I'm heading to Madison, my dad has his annual kidney transplant appt. tomorrow and labs are at 7 which means I have to pick him up at the nursing home by 6. It usually lasts until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Thank goodness it's only once a year! Hope everyone has a productive day!

Happy Stitching,

Margaret
