...about the BSR updates...I just took my machine in for it's routine cleaning and such, and asked them to upgrade my BSR (because I recently read the thread about this). I was told there have been no updates in 4 years. My machine is a 5 year old 440QE and I have never brought my BSR in with my machine. So,I'll find out what they do. Like many who posted about this I do not use my BSR...and that was why I bought the 440. Oh! By the way...when you bring your machine in for it's cleaning, remember to switch out the single hole stitch plate and the 1/4" foot...opps

Hi BarbCA. I think my problem with the BSR was, that it allowed the quilt to go up with the needle. Besides my BSR never worked properly in anything. It's time for my annual bringing the machine in, so I will talk to them about it. There is a long thread on the subject on this forum and that calmed me down, because it seems that the BSR can be upgraded. There is hope!

Hi Norma,

I really like 'Future', you did a wonderful job! I have a Bernina 440QE with BSR also, I like you had skipped stitches. I finally realized the BSR did not read the thread's when it passed over darker colors (green, blue, brown, or black).

Thanks for your nice words.
I could do a night photo, but it will take some time, because the quilt disappeared from my house 24 hours after I hung it on my wall. A friend of mine, who is a psychotherapist loved it so much I allowed her to take it and hang it in her clinic. I promised some time ago to make her a quilt for the clinic but have not had time yet to do it (read: no quilt has shown up in my mind yet), so she borrowed this one till I make her a new. I think I'll borrow it back in the end of March because I feel it's needed here during a workshop that I house at that time. So I'll make a photo then.

Yea!!! I'm glad you stuck to it Norma! Do you want to try one more challenge with it? Put your camera on a tripod and take a long exposure photo with little light so we can see your MoonGlow! :D

I finished the quilt, that has given me troubles ever since it was designed Dec. 23rd 2003. Some of you following the Forum has heard of it before, because I was very tired of it and was thinking of throwing it out. For new members I can tell, that I made the little drawing that day and soon after when I was sitting thinking about something else, it came by in colors. I put those colors on paper and now I was in trouble. I knew I had to make my fabric to make it look like my inner picture, but I didn't have the skills then. I waited patiently and in 2008 I made the fabric. In 2009 I made the quilt top and it was on my table for one more year, because I couldn't decide what to do with the quilting. In 2010 I got my Bernina 440 QE and decided to do the free motion thing on it. There was a lot of frustration because my machine skipped stitches. The quilt was now on my wall for a long time until I decided to let go of the BSR foot and put on the darning foot. Skipping stitches stopped and now it's done. What a relief. I had a space on my profile for it, and just checked the Gallery, but It's not coming up as a new quilt, so here's to Margo and Ritzy who were chocked by the thought of getting rid of it :D . By the way I used glowy thread on the blue background and that is really fantastic. When you turn of the light at night it is like the moon is shining.
I named it Future, when the sketch was done and I must say, I had no idea that it would take so long to manifest it. Today I would call it The Worst Quilt of My Life    , but I really like the moon shine during night  .

All my projects, finished and the ones I'm working on, are stash busters. Sometimes color combinations are not necessarily what I would choose if I was shopping specifically for projects but are making me look outside the box at times.

Love all the pictures of the finished projects! I finally finished one from my 2010 UFO list!!! It's a flannel Tunning 20 Quilt. The flannel came from a FQ swap that Jeanne did a couple of years ago on QYW MB. I just got done with the binding and made the label. I'll post a picture when I get my camera back from my DD.
