TOPIC: Hello Monday!

Re: Hello Monday! 08 Feb 2011 00:56 #57039

Well yesterday was fun. I didn't get the the mystery done til today and I'm just now sewing on the borders to it. But I had alot of fun with DS and his friends. They had a cook out and had the TV outside and everything. Some of them wanted the Steelers to win and some wanted the Packers to win so it was really funny listening to them cheering on their teams. We told them they can come and do it again next year :) .
Here is a picture of my DS and the new GF, she is really sweet and it was nice getting to know her. DS said she was a keeper and if they are together for 5 years they are going to get married, it's the first time I have ever heard him say that.
Hope everyone has a good day prayers for all that need them.

We also hosted a party last evening, and had a great time! There were 5 couples of us, and we cooked brats and hamburgers on the grill - a real tailgate. Luckily they all went home before 10:00 as I'm subbing in the high school office every morning this week, which meant that instead of leisurely getting up arout 8:00 or so, I had to be here before 7:30! (DH is home cleaning up, bless him!) We'll be taking care of DD's 3 kids later this afternoon and evening, so it will be a full day. Probably won't see my machine at all. Oh, well!

Moving VERY slowly this morning! LOL We had a combination birthday/superbowl party ... so a very busy day for me yesterday. Got up and decorated a cake and made all kinds of food.... it all went really well....including the Packers winning the Superbowl! YES!!!! My shoulders ache from cheering, my throat hurts from screaming at the TV, my head is throbbing from all the noise that was in my house last night but it is ALL worth it!!! I woke up to a mess in my living room dining room and kitchen this morning too! It's all cleaned up now tho and I think I am going to watch a movie and veg on the couch all day today! Sounds like a good plan!

So excited for the Packer win. Even though I must admit I thought I was going to have a heart attack in the third and fourth quarters. I am moving really slow as my kiddos also decided to be up most the night. So instead of working out this morning I am going to try to rest a little and work out later this afternoon. The boys like that as that means that they get to do supervised soccer. This will be my middle childs first time as he just turned five. He's very excited. I am also comign down with some type of cold which is not really in the plans, but I might just have to adjust. I did get my fabric moved over to my new shelf and now I need to take the other shelves down and move it back. I also got a few of the squares for the blocks I"m doing sewed together. Today is some cleaning and then off to the school also to copy the newsletter and get that out to the teachers.

Have a great day everyone. maragert hope your mom feels better.

Hello Monday! 07 Feb 2011 07:06 #56941

Mornin' all!

GO PACKERS! WOOO HOO! Well I know I'm moving a little more slowly after last night's game... anyone else with me? It was a good game and I actually like the Steelers so it was hard to see them loose. But I'm calling my cousin later and might be doing a little bit of bragging since all of my mom's family lives near Pitt. He does it to me whenever the packers loose a big game so he's just getting a dose of his own medicine.

As for the rest of the day... my mom is sick so I am scraping our normal routine of working out, Monday afternoon quilt group then grocery shopping. I might do a little cleaning then the rest of the week I can just sew. I HAVE to get my BoMs done since Wednesday is my day to run into the lqs for next month's. The store estimates one block takes 3-4 hours and there are 4 blocks. Guess I should get my butt in gear instead of waiting until last minute

Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Happy Stitching,

Margaret
