We did a “shop hop”—each vendor had a special quilt block in their booth somewhere that guests had to find. They filled out a Scavenger Hunt page with the block from each booth and those who chose to participate were in drawing for a daily door prize basket of donated goodies from the vendors. Vendors got more booth traffic, people had fun.
Another show we had a Mystery quilt to draw shoppers to the booths. With purchase, they got a clue for a simple quilt we designed for this show. A month after the show, all the clues were published on the guild website with assembly instructions.
Our guild has started planning for our next quilt show. I'm trying to come up with ideas in additional to the normal quilt display and vendors. We already have raffle baskets and a silent auction, but I was hoping to find something that didn't involve asking our attendees to pay out more money. Any suggestions?
