If you're still interested in coming to Paducah, you should check out the Bed and Breakfast program offered through the Visitor's Bureau. People in Paducah open their homes and offer rooms for rent including breakfast. I have used this programs six times, and have had a wonderful experience each time. You fill out an application and they match you to a home. It's usually about $50 per night including breakfast.
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the info. I plan on calling hotels this week. We will be staying a week so the 4 day minimum is not a problem. I can't afford to do the last minute thing as I am booking a flight. Its got to be a sure deal.

All hotels will probably be listed as sold out now but cancellations do happen and many do keep a waiting list. And, you should know, most of the hotels have a 4 night minimum during Quilt Week. I split the week with a friend, she took Tues/Wed, I had Thurs/Fri.
Sorry to put a damper on the plans, but it is very hard to find a hotel during Quilt Week. Don't give up your plans though. There are usually cancellations at the last minute. Also on the AQS website you can find a link to people who will rent out a room to guests. Other options are to rent a car and get a room farther out. Perhaps a 45 minute drive or so out of Paducah. I am sure others will have more advice. Good luck and enjoy the show.

A friend and I are flying in from Switzerland next year for the show in Paducah. I can't seem to find any hotels. Are they all booked already? We will not be renting a car but using public transportation. Are there hotels further out that do shuttle service?
I would really appreciate some advise here. I am so looking forward to coming over but this is putting a damper on my plans.
Thanks
Evelyne
