Mmmmmhhhhh...... forget about buying fabrics. Make sure your camera has plenty of memory and take lots and lots of pictures for inspiration. I have never had time to look for specific shops when in Paris. There are soooooo many things to do. I could spend a whole week just in one of the museums. And sitting in a street cafe on a sunny day, just soaking up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a drink would always be top of my list. Have fun!

I, too, love Paris! I have only been once - for my honeymoon! We spent about 4 days in June and barely slept for all the wonderful sights to see! I did not go to any fabric shops but did visit many museums, cathedrals, statues, parks, monuments, cafe's, etc etc etc.

In June the flowers are at their peak at Les Tuileries, so take your time walking there and snap lots of inspirational pictures! Sunset on the Seine, walking the artists conclave in Montmartre, taking in all the amazing famous art at the Louvre, gazing at the massive Eiffel Tower from across the street at the Trocadaro, standing in quiet prayer at Notre Dame Cathedral and Sacre Coeur Basilica, eating an outdoor lunch of fresh baquettes from the local Patisserie with fresh cheese from the local Fromagerie, relaxing after a long day at a sidewalk cafe with a nice cup of your favorite drink. Oh the memories!!

I hope you can squeeze in a visit to a fabric shop while there. Four days is barely enough for a visit to Paris -- and will leave you begging for more!!

I love Paris too. I have only been there once, and did not look for quilt shops. With a good map and their wonderful metro system, you should be able to find them easily enough. Just hold tight to your belongings. It is a shame you need to worry about such things, but you really do need to be careful.

Becky,
You'll have a lovely time! Le Rouvre is a really cute shop but hard to find. The street is only a single block so few cabbies can find it. I suggest you take a detailed map and start on foot from Notredam. The shop is much smaller than the website suggests.
I have never had time to make my way to the larger patchwork shops. Note that shop hours can be odd in Paris and it is really hard to hail a cab! So if it's an important part of your trip, plan ahead.

http://www.inespatchwork.com/ is in the 11th arondissement. I have never been myself so don't know it. There are a great number of fabric shops near Gare du Nord if you have time to go snooping around

BTW I looked up fabric shops rather than quilting shops. I hope you have a wonderful time in Paris. It's my favourite place - apart from home. :D

I've been to Le Rouvray on the other side of the river, but that's probably the one you mean.
