It's a long flight. My wings aren't that strong either even to go from here (Virginia) to there. LOL

i would love to have a chance at being a quilt angel - unfortunately I don't think my wings are up to getting me there

Wow! Only a month until Houston. I'm getting excited! (or will be as soon as I finish my big work deadline ). Have any of you ever served as a quilt angel at Houston? I did when I went in 2010. I had the very tough duty of standing in front of Nancy Kern's gorgeous awarding-winning Baltimore Album quilt so I could show people the back of the quilt. People kept asking if it was my quilt. Don't I wish!!! Last week, I received a message from the Festival people looking for more quilt angels for this year. So if you're interested, check it out. If you work for 3 hours, you get a cute angel pin, and if you work 6 hours (doesn't have to be all at the same time), you also get priority enrollment for classes for next year. Sherry, I am so thrilled to bits for you. I wish I could be there in person - but I guess you will have to settle for my flatter version. Ladies, don't forget to charge the cameras, and don't forget the chargers for the camera, and don't forget to take a photograph for the rest of us. Whoo Hoo!!

Sherry - maybe someone's already asked, but I'm sure the question will come up. How long did it take you to do this work of art? Just the crystals alone must have been hours. A labour of love. You deserve a prize - and I hope it's a really BIG one!
