I'm prepared for the tired legs from working in the SS Store--I've even brought my knee support and the hotel will have an ice machine if my knee swells up! LOL The activity will be good for me because I'll be sitting in the Seminar for an hour or two at a time. I can't wait until tomorrow to get started! As soon as my Xmas UPS delivery shows up, I'm off to the hotel tonight!!! :D Judy in Torrance

You will all have a wonderful time. Judy, just from watching the ladies work a the SS I attended they really work -- so be prepared for very tired legs at night. It is really fun to meet people from the site and you will learn a lot.

Have fun, I really enjoyed mine. I got to meet Rose and Tina.

I went last year to the one in Mesa, AZ. Loved every minute. Bring lots of money and don't forget to buy Ricky's newest CD, Christmas in a Small Town. It is wonderful. I have a couple of tunes dancing around in my head all of the time. I know that Judy Mc of Torrance will be there with bells on. Judy in AZ

It's only one more week til the Super Seminar in Downey, CA! It will be my second one. I'm really looking forward to hearing it all again. I know there will be lots I missed the first time around. They are such excellent teachers, I'll go again when they come back to southern California!

If any of you get the opportunity to attend one, take it!

I went to Ricky's seminar in Glens Falls, NY. If I could, I'd definitely go to another one; I was so star struck the first time.

I met Justin and he knew who I was!! Alex took me by the hand to show me something on one of the vendors' sewing machines.

Hollywood has it's stars and we have ours-Ricky, Alex, Justin, Cap'n John, Libby!!!

thank you Sandi and Marge.

I had read the seminar notes before posting .... that's why I assumed the whole seminar was about 'making' a quilt. We are attending the Cleveland seminar too. Maybe we'll see you.

Thanks again ladies for taking the time to answer, we really appreciate it.

If you go to Ricky's web site and look at the seminars, there is a listing of the topics covered. It is a quite long list covering many aspects of quilting. I'm going to the seminar in Cleveland in the spring and am really looking forward to it. Marge

I went to the seminar in Ocala this year. It was fun!! It covered many aspects of quilting, not just piecing. It was an incredible event and I would go again if I get the chance in the future. Sandi in FL

Seminar 20 Nov 2009 20:37 #40691

I was wondering are Ricky's seminars mostly about piecing? or what?

A friend and I are longarmers so we're wondering how much we'd get out of this type of seminar with Ricky, Alex and Libby.

THANKS

Come on, Folks!! Let's hear a WooHoo!! for the Super Seminar. My friend Eileen and I went to the one in Glens Falls, NY last year. We were on the way to the Northern Star Quilt Show in Somers last weekend when we looked at each other and said we wished we were back at another one. We loved it that much. I'd go again in a heartbeat; even though I've heard it all before. I'm sure I'd learn something new from every single speaker.
