Thank you soooo much for organizing such a wonderful reunion for everyone at Don Patron's last night. This was my first time to attend, but it will definitely not be my last. We had a great time and it was like a very happy family reunion instead of a lot of people who may or may not know each other. By the end of the evening, I believe we all developed a bond and friendships that will endure forever.

Frances, how I wish I was there. I would love to see your rosary quilt. I have had one in the back of my mind for years. I would love to see a picture of yours. Have fun for me too! Maybe I will fix fajitas for dinner tonight and pretend. I won't tell the family. They already think I'm nuts

For all my friends who are in Houston - I have one line left to go on my rosary quilt embroidery. If anyone is interested, we can come back to my hotel room after the meet and greet on Saturday and i will have it laid out on the bed. Let me know if you are interested.

Margo, thanks so much for posting the winners. I have been sitting here with my mouth hanging open looking at all the wonderful entries. Sue Garman's Baltimore Album quilt is probably the most beautiful I have ever seen! I honestly don't know how the judges choose between all the quilts they all look so stunning.

I hope somebody will take a photo of 'The Amazing Eight' quilt and post it on the site for those of us not a Houston to see, please :

My flight gets in at 3:00 pm. I don't know if I will make the convention center by 5:00, but I will get there as soon as I can. The plan is to get my bag, get on the super shuttle, check into my hotel, throw my bag in my room and then run the 10 blocks to the convention center. The out of breath, red faced, very plus sized woman stumbling into the hall around 5:30 or 6:00 will be me. Looking forward to meeting you and everyone!

Just got back from the Winners' Circle. Pat McCarty took best-in-show with her quilt that also won best-in-show at HMQS this year. It's really mind-boggling. But so are the rest of them. Lots of winners from Japan!
