I answered my own question. Below is cut and paste from the quilt market website. Follks like me would be "Prospective Retailers"


Credentials are required for entry into Quilt Market
If you have not attended Market in 2008,
you will need to submit the credentials
listed below, even if you have attended
Quilt Market in previous years. All
credentials submitted at this time will
be good until December 31, 2009.

Retailers, Manufacturers,
Cottage Industries:
1. Copy of one 2007/2008 wholesale
invoice from an industry supplier totaling
$300 or more
AND
2. Sales tax number, resale number, or
federal ID number
AND
3. Business card

Prospective Retailers: All of the above
except that a letter of reference from a
Quilt Market supplier or banker simply
stating that you have a business account may
substitute for the $300 invoice. No account
balances or numbers are required.

Sales Representatives, Designers,
Teachers, Publishing Companies, Book
Editors, Video Producers:
1. Personal business card from the company
you represent
OR
2. Personal letter of authorization from one
of these entities

Working Press Covering Show:
Call 713-781-6864, ext. 116, for
credentials information.

If you need to submit credentials, we
prefer that you send them with your
enrollment form. Failure to provide
credentials before the show could result
in the cancellation of your enrollment.

Hi All,
Does anyone know what credentials are required to attend the Houston Quilt Market trade show? I aspire to open a quilting related business in the future and would like to attend as part of my planning process.
