Lorchen,
Great minds think alike  ! I thought the exact same thing when I saw Alex's new fabric and that BOM. I think it would sparkle like jewels.

Ann, if you are the 'UFO Queen' than I claim the 'UFO Princess' title. I keep promising myself to finish three projects before starting one new one, but somehow it never quite works out. These new projects just keep sneaking in when I'm not looking. I guess they know that I'll give them a loving home. :)

I hope to go to Houston next year. I have family in the area and there's just no reason why I shouldn't! I'd like to go to Paducah, too!!! :D I hope everyone is having a great time in Houston. I took a peek at the winning quilts and all I can say is WOW!!!

I think I am the UFO queen. I have enough to at least do a science fiction movie. So since I can't be in Houston I have been trying to finish some things and complete some challenges etc. I have been doing good and maybe tonight will get some pictures posted. But I still wish I was in Houston and seeing the pictures of the winners on the website for AQS and seeing the pictures of everyone in Houston just made me that more lonesome. Oh well, I am off to a Halloween party in our park - no costume for me or dh- he's making coffee for the party but it should be fun and maybe I won't feel quite so lonesome. Boo Hoo I am not in Houston. Oh well, have fun everyone, Ann

'm finishing the binding on a baby quilt for one of my friends' new grandbaby, starting the binding on a quilt for a co-worker of my DH who's retiring(DH pieced it and I quilted it) and piecing a cuddle quilt for our pregnant DIL. All this in between customer quilts.

Thanks a lot, Ruth! It's great to see pictures from Houston. So far I must admit that I have favourites: I can see the 2009 BOM done in Alex's new line of fabrics when I close my eyes........

I think I said it Pat but congratulations again. Have fun at the show.

I'm working on printing/cutting out May and June BOM. I also recently took my mastery class on my Bernina 440QE so playing with it. I got Ricky's Grand Finale DVD this week too so that was a treat to watch for the first time and have taken paper with me everywhere to doodle. Also watched one of my Caryl Fallert's machine quilting DVDs. I am in a self-imposed boot camp to practice, practice, practice and try to become the best machine quilter I can.

Gosh I'm glad you asked this question cause I was thinking I wasn't doing much this week quilting-wise.

Would one of you mind taking a pic of me with my quilt at the show to be put in the Houston Scrapbook? I'll be at the TQS booth for the 1 pm gathering tomorrow. Today is devoted to packing and getting ready to catch the bus at O Dark Thirty tomorrow morning. We will arrive at the show at around 10 am. I can hardly wait to visit my quilt!

I sure envy all of the group at the Houston Quilt Show. but never the less I am enjoying working on the quilt for the expected 7th great grandchild. Yesterday I stippled the outside border and got the binding reading to apply. I'm using Sharon Schambers method. I really like her way better than any I have tried. It takes a little more time, but is well worth the effort. I sent for her DVD on Perfect Binding so that I don't have to go out on the web if I forget a step. Have fun all the rest of you who are at home. Nan

I'm not in Houston and I am still working on my son's Big Red Quilt'. Fall has arrived and I actually saw a few snow flurries on the way to work Tuesday morning. My daughter, SIL, and my son will be home Saturday to celebrate Melissa's birthday. She wants me to make Chicken Pot Pie for her birthday dinner.

I had to stop baking bread! I am absolutely unable to resist freshly baked bread... it was making me fat! :? Since I can't go to Houston I'm spending alot of time in the studio working on my Challenge piece.

I am on the road for business in New Mexico - thank goodness! It is keeping me so busy that I forget that I am NOT in Houston! :)
