I have an aunt in Port St. Lucie who emailed us to let us know that her house was high and dry, however she now lives on an island, lol. She wanted to know if we knew anyone wanting water-front property in Florida 8)

Sherry, glad to hear that you are okay. I was getting a little worried since you hadn't posted earlier in the day. Move your sewing room to higher ground. Judy in AZ

So far today we've had rain off and on. Of course it was pouring when church let out. :? The wind has been blowing off and on also. Once in a while the trees really get going. It really hasn't been too bad. Just a snarky day. Not sure how it's supposed to be later. Hopefully this is as bad as it will get. Folks to the east of us got slammed with flooding. Sad stuff.

I live in west central Mississippi and it started raining last night and is still raining and raining - nothing real hard though. I'm sure before it's over there will have been quite a bit, but nothing like Florida, thank goodness. It's a good day to sew and surf TQS!! Mary

Good luck Sherry. There's a lot of rain coming your way. Get out your galoshes!

Seriously, I hope everything turns out ok.

I live in the Sarasota Bradenton area and we were lucky and had hardly any rain. We had several days of overcast skys and high winds. But many meetings were canceled "just in case" So lots of us had a free day at home to quilt. Now the sun is shining and it is time to pick up branches blown down. Betty Ann

I live north of Jax, on Amelia Island. We had lots of rain, luckily no major flooding like Jax and other areas did. Wind was pretty bad. Got a tree down on our fence, but not the house, so that was great! Sherry, good luck in Miss. and all the others that are in the way of Fay.

For those of you in Florida the last couple of days, I hope everyone is ok. I live in Jacksonville where we had 10 inches of rain dumped on us in 24 hours but my mother-in-law is in Melbourne, FL and they had over 21 inches! That's almost 2 feet of water!

Anyway, I hope everyone is ok and the damage is minimal
