TOPIC: Paducah 2009 - hotel rooms?

Paducah 2009 14 Dec 2008 13:14 #29647

I am going to register for the Paducah show and wondered if anyone out there would like to share accomodations? I want to take some classes so I plan to be there for 3 or 4 nights.

the sooner you try to make reservations the better...there are some hotels in town that will take your name now, and then have a sort of lottery for the actual bookings.

My group from MD stayed at the Green Turtle Bay Resort in Grand Rivers. It was about 30 minutes from downtown Paducah. Eight of us stayed in a 4 bedroom house. There were 4 bedrooms, each had its own bathroom. There was a deck along the back that overlooked the lake. It was absolutely wonderful and a great place to go back to and rest. We stayed 5 nights and between all of us, we had 3 cars. I highly reccomend it if it fits your budget and style. We fixed our own breakfasts and took our lunches in to town. We ate out two nights but the other evenings we fixed simple meals. Our cost was about $65.night per person for just the accomodations. You have to also figure in your food and gas for overall expenses.

Paducah 2009 - hotel rooms? 29 Apr 2008 10:18 #17544

I want to thank everyone for the suggestions and recommendations for my trip to Paducah! It was my first year, and even though I was only able to go for one day, I had the time of my life! I enjoyed it so much and left inspired. What a great trip!

Next year, I'm hoping to go longer - at least 3 or 4 days! I know that hotel rooms fill up very quickly, so when is the best time to make reservations? I figure that I'll make a reservation for the whole week, and then if I only end up going for part of that time, I can always cancel some days.

I know it's early, but I'm sure some of you Paducah veterans have some ideas! Thanks so much for sharing your information!
