Becky, 'Twisted Thread' is the organizer (http://www.twistedthread.com). They have some suggestions for hotels on their website. You can also try and look at http://www.booking.com and put 'NEC Birmingham' in the search box. There are at least half a dozen hotels pretty close. If you go to the Twisted Thread website and get their newsletter, you'll find out when they start taking bookings for workshops and also sell tickets via the website.

I know it's very early days, but I might as well start the ball rolling. :)

FoQ will be from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th of August. It is the biggest quilt show in Europe, and it's easy to get to (airport and railway station are right next door).

I'm going to be there all four days, but can only meet friends on Thursday or/and Sunday. I'm busy on Friday and Saturday with a 2-day workshop. It's with a German quilter (Pia Welsch). Her English is very good, but I'm going to be her security blanket, translating whenever it's needed, but also doing the actual project.

So, closer to the time, let me know where you want me to be and at what time. :)
