Becky, I used to spend time with a friend in Valkenswaard at least two or three times a year. At that time my parents were still alive and instead of driving straight from England to Germany I made a little detour to see my friend. I haven't been back to Germany recently, but you are right, the shops in the Netherlands are wonderful! And the Dutch people are always very friendly!

It seems long ago, so it is about time to come again

I was there 10 years ago about this exact time. What a beautiful city! I would love to return someday.

Hello from Scotland,

About 15 years ago we had a long weekend in Amsterdam - at the last minute our hotel was changed but what a surprise when we took our first walk out to explore and walked strainght into 'Den Haan & Wagenmakers'. I had a lovely hour or so in the shop while my husband had a beer in the pub nearby.
I havent any plans to return but just yesterday we were remembering the lovely time we had in Amsterdam - the canals, the buildings, the museums, AND the quilt shop!
Maybe one day.......
