I also found a quilt shop in Bayeux (Normandy, France), which actually had more quilt fabric than the largest shop in Paris (Le Rouvray). It's right on the main street in Bayeux and sells all manner of other craft supplies, as well -- knitting, etc.

Probably a bit late for your trip, but I found a couple of good ones while there last year One in Sarlat-la-Canéda in the Dordogne and one in St Omer Northern France. Both really nice towns too

Have a look here, Beth: http://www.cosman.nl/maps/map_en.php?cn=fr

But I'm not sure how up-to-date that site is. I use it a lot when travelling on the continent.

Lucky me! My husband and I will be traveling in France this fall, and I was wondering if there are any quilt shops I should stop and see?

I already know of Le Rouvray in Paris and the fabric stores in Montmartre. (I dropped some significant change in Montmartre in 2004!!)

But we are also going to Bayeux, Mont Saint-Michel and Chartres, and I know nothing about stores in those areas.

Any suggestions from our French TQS members?
