And what machine are you talking about? The 830? That sounds about right. I think the 830 is around 10,000 here in the u.s. No, maybe not, I think it might be 12?

I just went back and looked and the range was from 8,000 to 12,000. So who knows, I know I just love my 730E and don't want the 830. Its too heavy and I saw the print out when they were doing it in my LQS and it looked like it came from , what do I say, that it did not look like she actually did it . It looked machine made, (that it was)to perfect for me. It takes all the enjoyment of doing it. She just pushed a button and the whole thing printed out.

When I was in England on a trip, I usually just doubled the pounds to get an approximate U.S. dollar amount.

You can't compare prices in different countries - it may be cheaper in England, but that's only if you pay in Pounds (they don't "do" euros).

Its not in U.S. dollars. what is the exchange? Although maybe I don't want to know, I just got a 730E which is not there on the list.

I've never had problems finding the UK prices. I did a lot of online research before I bought mine and it was all there.

I think it's the US dealers who were not giving out the details until they have you under their roof and sat down. :D

I remember some UK members having problems getting prices for Bernina machines in the UK. This link will take you to a site that actually states the price:
