TOPIC: Ricky's Stable Stuff in the UK

Thanks for your input 05 Jun 2009 10:06 #35792

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much! Lynn, I'll pass your message about affordability along to her. I now have a lady in Australia asking the same question, so I'll do a post for our Australian quilting friends.

I had done some internet searching for UK quilting supply sites and didn't find it and your feedback confirms that perhaps there's nothing like it in the UK.

I really appreciate your help. I'm going to use the Forum approach more often to questions I can't answer easily - the Forum is one of the things I love about the website - I find info on so many things!
Have a great weekend everyone.

I haven't seen it either, but if it's available from a distributor like Checker then I'm quite happy to import some. Alternatively, if there are just a few customers, they'd probably be better off buying directly from Ricky's website if he will ship internationally.

Nor have I seen it. There is the Sulky and Solvy stuff with the tear, heat and wash away, but not quite like Ricky's.

Hi Pat, Lynn here in UK. Sorry, but I haven't seen it here, I ordered mine from Ricky's site. Delivery was very fast and the price was fine. You tell her that!!! However, some others might have the answer I will ask around.er, I will ask around.

Ricky's Stable Stuff in the UK 29 May 2009 13:56 #35646

Hi everyone,
This is Pat, Ricky's admin. I need some help and thought this might be the best place to ask for it. I have an email from a lady in the UK who wants to know where she might find Ricky's Stable Stuff or something similar to it. I"ve been all over the internet and since I don't know what it might be called, I've come up empty handed. Another name for it here in the US is Rins-Away. It's the papery-type stabilizer that when you wash it turns into a spider web-ish thin, fine layer (you would only use it within the quilt sandwich, not on top). Can anyone help? Please email if you have any info or ideas. Thanks so much! (I'd love to be able to tell her I found her the answer on The Quilt Show forum and encourage her to join)
Pat
