TOPIC: UK Based Web Shops

Re: UK Based Web Shops 17 Jan 2011 03:39 #53591

Norma,

I have never heard of 'thread clubs'.Sounds interesting.
If you look on Superior Threads web-site and go to 'Store Locator' you can search by country to find shops selling their threads. It even tells you which threads each shop sells. :!: There is one in Denmark.

Not a class, Dorothy. She is the speaker at a monthly meeting. I'm looking forward to it.

She gets around a bit, Dorothy. She'll be up here in North Notts. at the end of the month.

Super lady! She was one of the judges when I entered a quilt at FoQ for the first time. Her comments were a mixture of positive compliments and suggestions on improving the piece. And she was absolutely right! :)

Today I have been reading former posts on this thread and realized that I got the information about Barnyarns from a TQS member. Alibeoli is the screen name; she presents her webshop on page 1. I want to say thank you for that.

I can tell that I got the answer from Barnyarns, that they wanted to find out more and will give me further information, which I will post then.

Excellent idea, Norma! I never thought of that, and I'm in the UK and sometimes order from Barnyarns.

Hi, all you from the UK. I found out today that this shop
http://www.barnyarns.co.uk
sells Superior Thread and I have sent them a question about them offering the thread clubs for people in Europe.
Maybe some of you will ask them too, so they can see it is needed.

And for all your ribbon needs:

Prices are very good, and the two guys who own the company are very nice, so you get excellent customer service.

Just remembered someone else I buy from, I LOVE the fabrics Antique Angel (http://www.antiqueangel.co.uk) sell, they import themselves and have quite a unique range. Their customer service is also excellent.

It's Tabbycat, link in first post. You have to spend £50 but how hard is that??!!?? And your shopping basket saves itself so you can go back a few times until you've made the quota. :D

You getting ideas here Ali? :D
