Since the backing for the 2014's BOM - A - Z for Ewe and Me - is black with polka dots, would you use black batting even though the front is cream? Never gave it any thought until this topic came up. What did those of you that finished it use?

white or off-white batting may have fibers come to the front or back in the process of the quilting. I use black batting when I have a black quilt. I would for one that is dark navy or purple too.

I want to begin quilting my black background Jinny Beyer BOM project and can’t decide if I should use black batting. Any suggestions would be helpful.
