When I've done this I iron it for a few seconds then scratch with my nail. Worked so far but it may not now you've soaked it

I just ironed a peice of backing and dicovered spots of whitish stain on it. Think it might have been some fusible remnant o my ironing board. It leaves a light white streak on purple. Is there any way to remove it? Have tried scrubbing with soat. Nothing.
