Yes that is when the CW quilts will be unveiled. I've also read the book Outlander - although it has a different title over here, but I remember something about it haveing a different title in the US. As I recall the main Scots hero is called Jamie Fraser. There are actually several books in the series, but it is several years since I read them.

Well, Rosemary, Ricky's segment is only 13 minutes long.

Is Loch Lomond where the Chinese Whispers quilt will be? Side track...I'm listening to a GREAT book called Outlander, awesome listen, that takes place with a bit of time travel (thanks to Scottish magic) in the 1700's around Inverness. Quilts, kilts, and tapestries, oh my. Had to look at Google maps for a geography lesson.

Radquilter, I think you will be very pleased with the results. I used Rainbows 40 wt. variegated thread by Superior Threads on my convergence quilt and was thrilled with it. I used a Ricky Tims hand-dyed fabric with a thin border of black and a tone on tone deep purple border. The variegated thread worked beautifully with the bright colors and tied the black and purple fabrics in with the rest of the quilt.
I have decided on using a Rainbow thread from Superior- Montego Bay. I placed it on the quilt and it looks great and as you said , ties the black fabric with all the other fabrics. Thanks for your encouragemant.

Stitching in the ditch would work well for the inside of the quilt with the strips but I put on borders around the quilt in patches of the four fabrics I used in thee quilt so I have to quilt inside them. I pooled some variegated thread from Superior threads on the borders and I think I have found my thread. I think the solid black needs some color to blend it with the other fabrics. Thank you Ritzy. I love your quilts.

If you don't want the quilting to show beyond texture, you could also look at solid colors like taupe, grays and olive. These colors tend to blend in well with a lot of other colors, including black. You'll want to pull some thread off of the spool and pool it on top of the quilt to see how it will blend in.
tha's a great idea and I have pulled some thread and pooled it on the quilt which helped alot. Thank you.
